How Can You Stop The Noise?

Heredity gave dogs voices but there are steps to correct most of the sounds that come from dogs.  Dogs in Summit Corners that bark at the noise of the family's doorbell or a knock on the door need to be taught a greeting ritual.  It is their job to bark when a stranger comes to your Summit Corners door but you should teach them that an OK command from you means you have the situation under control and your dog guardian can stop making noise.

Another concern we hear from pet owners is the whining at objects such as a shovel or walkers. These are all items a canine can learn to live with quietly. Running fence lines and barking at your Summit Corners neighbors and their dogs is not acceptable bad dog behavior either.  This "distance" barking can be corrected through training sometimes needing a mild zap collar so you can correct your dog from inside the from a distance.  It really doesn't take long for them to learn.

It's important for you to remember that a dog's hearing is over 200x better than your hearing.  He can hear a squirrel running up a tree.  He will respond with his voice.  You just need to learn how to teach your canine when it's time to be quiet when they hear the proper command.
