Heredity gave dogs voices but there are procedures to correct most of the sounds that come from dogs. Dogs in Edgewood that bark at the sound of the family's doorbell or a knock on the door need to be taught a greeting ritual. It is their job to bark when a stranger comes to your Edgewood house but you should train them that an "okay" from you means everything is fine and your protector can stop making noise.
Another complaint we hear from pet owners is the barking at objects such as a broom or wheelchairs. These are all items a canine can learn to live with quietly. Running the property lines and barking at your Edgewood neighbors and their dogs should not be tolerated inappropriate dog behavior either. This "distance" barking can be corrected through training sometimes needing a mild shock collar so you can correct your dog from inside the home. This unacceptable dog behavior can be corrected in a short period of time.
It's important for you to remember that a dog's hearing is over 200x better than your hearing. He can hear the sound of a child riding a tricycle several houses away. He will respond with his voice. You just need to learn how to teach your canine when it's time to be quiet when they hear the correct signal.
If non-stop dog barking is an issue you would like to correct, please give Frank Allison, dog trainer a call or click to set up an appointment. Frank would be happy to schedule a private session in your Edgewood house.
