How Can You Stop The Noise?

Heredity gave dogs voices but there are steps to correct most of the sounds that come from dogs.  Dogs in Como that bark at the sound of the house's doorbell or a knock on the door need to be taught a greeting ritual.  It is their job to bark when a stranger comes to your Como house but you should train them that an OK command from you means everything is fine and your protector can stop making noise.

Another complaint we hear from pet owners is the barking at objects such as a shovel or wheelchairs. These are all things a dog can learn to live with quietly. Running the property lines and barking at your Como neighbors and their dogs should not be tolerated inappropriate dog behavior either.  This "distance" barking can be corrected through training sometimes needing a mild shock collar so you can correct your pet from inside the from a distance.  This unacceptable dog behavior can be corrected in a short period of time.

Most importantly, you must remember that a dog's hearing is over two hundred times better than your hearing.  He can hear a squirrel running up a tree.  He will respond with his voice.  You just need to learn how to teach your canine when it's time to be quiet when they hear the correct signal.
