Nonstop Barking, Barking, Barking...

How Can You Stop The Noise?

Heredity gave dogs voices but there are steps to control most of the sounds that come from dogs.  Dogs in Racine County that bark at the noise of the house's doorbell or a knock on the door need to be taught a greeting ritual.  It is their job to bark when a stranger comes to your Racine County door but you should teach them that an OK command from you means everything is fine and your dog guardian can stop making noise.

Another complaint we hear from pet owners is the whining at objects such as vacuum cleaners or tractors. These are all items a canine can learn to live with quietly. Running fence lines and barking at your Racine County neighbors and their dogs should not be tolerated inappropriate dog behavior either.  This "distance" barking can be corrected through training sometimes needing a mild zap collar so you can correct your pet from inside the from a distance.  It really doesn't take long for them to learn.

Most importantly, you must remember that a dog's hearing is over 200 times better than your hearing.  He can hear a squirrel running up a tree.  He will respond with his voice.  You just need to learn how to teach your pet when it's time to be quiet when they hear the correct signal.

If non-stop dog barking is an issue you would like to correct, please give Frank Allison, dog obedience trainer a call or click to set up an appointment.  Frank would be happy to schedule a private session in your Racine County home.
