How Can You Stop The Noise?

Heredity gave dogs voices but there are ways to control most of the sounds that come from dogs.  Dogs in Porters that bark at the sound of the house's doorbell or a knock on the door need to be taught your preferred doggy behavior.  It is their job to bark when a stranger comes to your Porters house but you should teach them that an "okay" from you means you have the situation under control and your dog guardian can stop growling.

Another complaint we hear from pet owners is the whining at objects such as a broom or walkers. These are all things a pet can learn to live with quietly. Running the property lines and barking at your Porters neighbors and their dogs is not acceptable inappropriate dog behavior either.  This "distance" barking can be corrected through training sometimes needing a mild shock collar so you can correct your dog from inside the home.  This unacceptable dog behavior can be corrected in a short period of time.

Most importantly, you must remember that a dog's hearing is over 200x better than your hearing.  He can hear your car coming from over a block away.  He will respond with his voice.  You just need to learn how to teach your canine when it's time to be quiet when they hear the correct signal.
