How Can You Stop The Noise?

Heredity gave dogs voices but there are ways to correct most of the sounds that come from man's best friend.  Dogs in University Park that bark at the noise of the family's doorbell or a knock on the door need to be taught a greeting ritual.  It is their job to bark when a stranger comes to your University Park house but you should teach them that an OK command from you means you have the situation under control and your protector can stop making noise.

Another complaint we hear from dog owners is the barking at objects such as a shovel or tractors. These are all things a pet can learn to live with quietly. Running fence lines and barking at your University Park neighbors and their dogs is not acceptable inappropriate dog behavior either.  This "distance" barking can be corrected through training sometimes needing a mild zap collar so you can correct your pet from inside the from a distance.  This unacceptable dog behavior can be corrected in a short period of time.

It's important for you to remember that a dog's hearing is over 200 times better than your hearing.  He can hear a squirrel running up a tree.  He will respond with his voice.  You just need to learn how to teach your pet when it's time to be quiet when they hear the proper command.
