How Can You Stop The Noise?

Heredity gave dogs voices but there are procedures to correct most of the sounds that come from canine pets.  Dogs in Altgeld Gardens that bark at the sound of the house's doorbell or a knock on the door need to be taught your preferred doggy behavior.  It is their job to bark when an unknown person comes to your Altgeld Gardens door but you should teach them that an "okay" from you means you have the situation under control and your protector can stop growling.

Another complaint we hear from dog owners is the whining at objects such as vacuum cleaners or rakes. These are all items a canine can learn to live with quietly. Running fence lines and barking at your Altgeld Gardens neighbors and their dogs is not acceptable inappropriate dog behavior either.  This "distance" barking can be corrected through training sometimes needing a mild zap collar so you can correct your dog from inside the house.  It really doesn't take long for them to learn.

Most importantly, you must remember that a dog's hearing is over 200 times better than your hearing.  He can hear the sound of a child riding a tricycle several houses away.  He will respond with his voice.  You just need to learn how to teach your pet when it's time to be quiet when they hear the correct signal.
